Upper
Natural and flexible
While handcrafting unique, one-of-a-kind shoes, our craftsmen use only premium materials. HAKA Shoes are born out of passion and love for footwear. Made of smooth calf leather and finished with a cowhide lining, they ensure exceptional comfort, great flexibility, considerable wear resistance and proper moisture drainage.
We select the best materials to achieve the quality you expect.
Sole
Soft and comfortable
A shoe’s history begins with the sole. At HAKA Shoes, we use handmade soles made of the highest-grade cowhide which obtains its distinctive colour thanks to vegetable tanning. These soles allow for optimal thermal regulation and keep the inside of the shoe cool and dry, bringing maximum comfort to your feet.
Thanks to this, the soles used in our shoes are synonymous with comfort and durability.
Construction
Light and durable
Traditions and remarkable professional skills handed down from generation to generation in small shoemaking workshops guarantee the highest quality of our shoes. Each pair is handmade using the Blake stitching method which consists in sewing the outsole directly to the sole with a strong seam that ensures shoes’ durability.
This translates into a reduction in the shoes’ weight, faster adaptation to the foot and greater softness – you feel as if you were wearing your favourite pair of slippers.
How to take care of shoes?
Wipe with a damp cloth
If there is dust or light dirt on the surface of the shoe, remove it with a damp cloth. This way you will prepare your favourite pair of shoes for further cleaning.
Dry at room temperature
Regardless of the leather type, shoes should be dried before cleaning. It is best to let them dry at room temperature and fill them with cedar shoetrees that absorb moisture.
Use professional care products
If you use only the highest quality preparations, your shoes will serve you for many years. However, remember to opt for products that are dedicated specifically to the leather your shoes are made of.
Avoid creases
When storing shoes, it is worth using shoe trees – their task is to keep the upper in its original shape, thanks to which you will prevent deformation and avoid creases that may cause discomfort and hurt your feet.
